Board Riding/Blind 180

You would think a simple-looking trick like a blind 180 would be one of the first things you learn. But a lot of people don’t even try them. I actually learned one well after I was doing inverted moves. Once I started doing the blind 180 though, I realized it was one of the coolest-feeling tricks out there. It’s basic, but there are so many variations you can do: melan, indy, toeside, etc. The key for me to learning the blind 180 was popping straight up and waiting really late to turn blind. This helps keep your axis straight, and helps you get the board around to land. Try keeping your chin parallel with the water at first, so that you get the feeling of landing blind.
