Wakeboard Boat Review

The iconic Super Air Nautique G23 got a few surf refinements for 2016 that brought it to the pro level for surfing and didn’t hurt the wakeboard wakes. Perfect for the pro-level crew and amateurs alike looking for ultra reliable big surf and wakeboard wakes, only the G can churn.

The G23’s hull got some modifications for 2016 to make it more compatible with the Nautique Surf System (NSS), which also switches three times faster this year. The new Surf Switch puts you in charge of when the wave will transfer from side to side, and for the ultimate in control, you can opt for the Pebble Watch app to adjust NSS, audio and speed while you’re surfing. Inside, the G23 always looks amazing, and for 2016 it has JL Audio. Premium sound combined with the digital screen to control everything at the helm keep this boat at the top of the food chain in not only wake performance but also interior functionality. With the Nautique Configurable Running Surface (NCRS), the G23 automatically adjusts the bottom of the boat to reduce drag on takeoff and turns, but settles it back in at riding speeds for a steadfast wake with the smoothest possible driving. Combine that with new PCM direct-injection engines and you’ve got a solid combo that’s optimized for big wakes and lots of weight at wakeboarding and surfing speeds.
