Keith Lyman retired from pro wakeboarding in late April to pursue a career in the military, but his signature hard-charging style will live on in the all-new Slingshot Lyman wakeboard. Available in wake shops starting in mid-June, the new pro model is designed to accommodate Lyman’s as-big-as-possible, way-into-the-flats brand of riding. Its subtle three-stage rocker is meant to generate intense speed and explosive pop, and its dual-to-single concave and step rails off er a clean, early release off the wake and ultra-soft landings.
The new board is designed to carry on Lyman’s legacy in more ways than one. In fact, it bridges the gap between his pro wakeboarding career and his new career in the U.S. military. In a nod to the bravery and service he hopes to emulate, Lyman is donating his royalties from the new pro model to the Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and empowering injured service members. Slingshot will continue its support of Lyman, matching his donations dollar for dollar.
