Supra’s offering for 2017 brings us the brand-new Supra SR. Vision Touch screens control all your functions, Raptor by Indmar delivers the power, JL Audio gives you multiple stereo options, and Supra Launch and the Supra Swell system back it all up with great on-water performance.
Then there’s Supra’s new Auto Wake system. The boat now uses inclinometers and adjusts the ballast and Supra Launch settings to get the boat perfectly aligned with the pitch and roll presets you choose. At just under 21 feet, the SR produced incredible wakes due to its deep hull design and ability to displace a ton of water. When it came to surfing, the Supra Swell system behind the SR created a super fun wave. Being a shorter boat, the wave was fairly steep, but there’s always the option to mellow it out with some fine-tuning.
We spent enough time in the SR to know that Supra hit the mark in terms of creating a smaller-size boat that still provides all the high-end fit and finish we’ve come to expect from Supra. The SR is sure to fit into the wheelhouse of someone looking for a high-performing boat at a size that’s a little more practical without sacrificing when it comes to luxury features.
